He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Wilson Brooks and Dorothea Marie Brooks (Kurrle). He is survived by: his children, Todd Brooks (Jeanette) of The Woodlands, TX and Jean Herzberg (Gary) of Waunakee, WI; his granddaughter Tara Brooks of London, UK; and his children, Ryan Brooks (Kaitlyn) of Atlanta, GA, Mark Herzberg of Boston, MA and Lisa Herzberg of Milwaukee, WI..

Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund at First United Methodist Church 2941 S. Koke Mill Road, Springfield, IL 62711.
