It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edith C. Irwin of Springfield, Illinois, born in Perry, Missouri, who passed away on August 4, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Fanning and Lettie May Fanning (Jackson); her husband John H. Irwin; her son Scott Irwin; and her siblings, Georgie Belshe, Mary Cox, Thomas and Frank Fanning.

She is survived by: her children, Cathy Schwartz (Thomas) of Iowa City, IA and Peter Irwin (Kathy) of Chicago; her grandchildren, Jacquelyn Windle (Alec), James Schwartz and Samantha Irwin; and her great grandchild Lincoln Windle.
