He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold E. Leckrone and Hazel Leckrone (Dillon); his son Captain Donald E. Leckrone Jr.; and his stepsons, Clay C. De Weese and Scott A. De Weese.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha Leckrone (Ruch) of Springfield; his son David E. Leckrone (Mary) of Springfield; his stepdaughter Amy N. Macklin (Dion) of Springfield; and his grandchildren, Paige N. De Weese of Springfield and Jodey A. Ashford of Springfield.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home & Cremation Service (530 N 5th St, Springfield, IL 62702).
