He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Ralph and Marie Bartling; and his siblings, Dale, Ronald Bartling, Kathy Kelley and Debbie Hurlbut.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Bartling; his son Christopher Bartling (Amy) of Tampa, FL; his granddaughters, Haley and Alexa Bartling; and his sisters, Susan Van Thournout (Joe), Georgia Whaples (Larry) and Ginny Miller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
