We bid farewell to Dan M. Connolly of Springfield, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 19, 2025 at the age of 77. Dan touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael J. Connolly and Eileen Connolly (Dacy). He is survived by: his wife Bev DeRosa; his children, Dan Connolly, Jr. (Sue) of Chatham and Carrie Connolly (John Lisle) of Alexandria, VA; his grandchildren, Michael Rechner, Anna Connolly Lisle, Seamus Connolly Lisle and Ella Connolly Lisle; and his sisters, Michelle Campbell (Ken) of Sherman and Mary Long of Albany, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Butler Funeral Home- Springfield (900 S 6th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Catholic Church of St. Jude (633 S Walnut St, Rochester, IL 62563).
