He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Phillips, and Ruby Phillips, Sr. (Rusher); and his siblings, Zona Skeens and Floyd A. Phillips, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Therese Hayes of John's Lutheran Church; his children, Kristi D. Frank (Jason) and Dale M. Phillips, Jr. (Angie); his stepsons, John Lee, Joe Lee (Christine) and Jim Lee (Amber); his grandchildren, Addison Frank, Kolby Phillips, Colton Phillips, Hannah Lee, Danny Lee (Arin), Joe Lee, Elizabeth Lee, Liliana Lee, Lucy Lee and Brayden Mueller; and his siblings, Jerry L. Phillips, Peggy A. Trease and Nancy Cleeton (Richard).
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home (437 S Grand Ave W, Springfield, IL 62704).
