With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Commander Marshall H. Austin Jr. of Springfield, Illinois, born in Honolulu, Hawaii, who passed away on October 31, 2024 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall H. Austin and Sarah Jane Austin Sr. (Flenniken); and his sister Susan Claassen. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Torbeck Terio; his sons, Christopher Austin (Julie) of Sherwood, OR and Alan Austin (Jackie) of Eugene, OR; his grandchildren, Andrew Austin, A. J. Terio, Paige Austin, Emma Austin and Hannah Austin; and his brother Robert Austin (Cindy) of Carmichael, CA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Concordia Village Chapel (4101 W Iles Ave, Springfield, IL 62711). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
