He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bunch and Goldie Bunch (Painter); his wife Ruth A. Squires; his daughter Catherine Bunch DeFreitas; his grandson Scottie; and his great great grandchild Mila Stieren.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Stevie, C. J., Jason and April; his great grandchildren, Sarah, Ariel, Jastine, Bella, Abby and Chad, Jr.; and his great great grandchildren, Kammy, Elijah, Lucas, Lilah, Aria, Ariana, G'annii, Garland, Mateo and Gelaiyah. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home (437 S Grand Ave W, Springfield, IL 62704). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
He volunteered for Make-A-Wish Foundation and Cancer Relay Walk for Life.
