It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charlene M. Cox of Springfield, Illinois, born in Taylorville, Illinois, who passed away on December 14, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph "John" Cummings and Catherine Marie Cummings; her spouse Dean E. Cox; her brother John R. "Jack" Cummings; and her son Michael W. Cox.
She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Cravens (Tom) of Springfield and Cheryl Sommer (Jerry) of Jacksonville; her grandchildren, Brian Sommer (Amy), Rebecca Sommer and Ryan Sommer; and her great grandchildren, Curtis, Douglas and Bryson. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
