It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Ann Thompson of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on December 23, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Pershing and Catherine "Irene" Kraus Pershing; her brother Fred Louis Pershing; and her son-in-law Robert Longcore. She is survived by: her husband Larry Thompson of Springfield; her daughters, Dawn Beisiegel (Todd) of Belleville, IL and Mary Ann Longcore of Spaulding, IL; her grandchildren, Megan Marie Wisely (Clark) and Matthew Austin Beisiegel; and her siblings, Rose Marie Huddleston of Springfield, IL, Mary Beth Baugher (James) of Rockwall, TX, David Lee Pershing (Linda) of North Lake, IL and John Phillip Pershing of Sherman, TX..
