The memory of Carol A. Harrell-Lane of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on January 20, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As we bid Carol farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Carol is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Eugene and Grace Utterback Foster; her former husband Larry Doren Harrell; her husband Allen P. Lane; and her children, Yvonne Killion, Jill Harrell and Randy Harrell.
She is survived by: her son Gregory Harrell; and her sister Donna Freeman of New Berlin, IL. She is also survived by six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Staab Funeral Home - Springfield (1109 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
