It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bette Florence Baker Merrill of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thompsie J. Baker and Vesta J. Marr Baker; her husband Melvin L. Merrill; and her children, Jeffrey and Kimberly.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Erik Koop, Jeff Koop and Jessica Koop. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
