It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jeanne McCormick in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on October 28, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Sweet and Ruth Sweet (Engele); her former spouse Dareld Kidd; her husband Robert McCormick; and her sisters, Lorraine Bitzenhofer and Frances Elaine Sweet.
She is survived by: her sons, Lance Kidd (Lisa) and Steven Kidd; her stepchildren, David McCormick (Ellen), Becky McCormick (Rich Cummings), Sue Compton (Chuck) and Dan McCormick (Sue); and her half-brother Paul Sweet. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
