It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arthur William Gowin of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on January 26, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Gowin and Artie Gowin (Easley); his son Gregory Lee Gowin; and his brother Ernest Gowin. He is survived by: his wife Janet Aures; his daughter Lori Flaminio (Keith); his daughter-in-law Nicci Gowin; and his siblings, Patricia Dennison, Louise Schneider and Edward Gowin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers and plants, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Mechanicsburg Cemetery Association or to the Animal Protective League.
