He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Davis and Ella Davis (Brooks); his wife Ivy; his close friend Barbara Brison; his children, Janet, Johnny and Judy; his grandson Troy; and his siblings, John, Maurice, Unis, Wardell, Virginia and Eugie.

He is survived by: his children, Jerome and Sheila; and his grandchildren, Joanna, Kyle, Terrell, John and Janet. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a large extended family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 675 E. Linton, Springfield, IL 62703.
