She was predeceased by: her father Robert D. McDonald; her brother Arthur Roy McDonald; her nephew Jacob Scott McDonald; and her parents-in-law, Stanley and Thelma Otten.

She is survived by: her mother Mary Olga McDonald of Springfield; her husband Steve Otten; her sons, Ryan Charles Otten (Gabrielle McNamara) of Springfield and Sean Stephen Otten (Paige Smith) of Springfield; her siblings, Robert McDonald (Jane) of Hattiesburg, MS, Mark McDonald of Springfield, Patrick McDonald (Odette) of Biloxi, MS, Charles McDonald of Springfield and Teresa Flesch (Mitch) of Springfield; and her pet Bodie.

Memorial contributions may be made to Koke Mill Christian Church and The Springfield Civic Garden Club.
