She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnie Taft and Emma Taft (Douglas); and her siblings, Johnie Taft, Jr. (Dorothy), Jack Taft, Carlton Taft, Wilma Giddens (A. K.) and Elsie Parish (Harold).
She is survived by: her husband Richard Hughes; her daughters, Debra Blanton (John) and Cindy Surber (Steve); her grandchildren, Chelsea Bell (Corey), Travis Blanton (Taylor), Lexi Blanton, Justin Surber and Jordan Surber; and her sister-in-law Jenelle Taft. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home (437 S Grand Ave W, Springfield, IL 62704). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
