It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Amelia Rose Zimmerman of Springfield, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on August 7, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur LeRoy and Petranella Hemrich Fleckenstein; her husband Albert E. Zimmerman, Jr.; her sons, Michael and Steven; her siblings, Mary Yakey, Leonard, Paul and Herbert Fleckenstein; her daughter-in-law Sandy Zimmerman; and her grandson Christopher Zimmerman.
She is survived by: her sons, James Zimmerman (Rhonda) of Springfield and Kevin Zimmerman of Divernon; her grandchildren, Michael Zimmerman (Kerry), Desiree Sayne (Joe), Steve Zimmerman (Kyla), Rhianne Zimmerman (Travis Krus) and Emily Nance; and her siblings, Tony Fleckenstein (Lois) of Warsaw, IN, Mary Agnes Fleckenstein and Marcelita Fleckenstein. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
