Walter Merritt Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 18, 2020, at the age of 76, Walter Merritt of Spring Valley, Illinois, born in Berlin, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edgar A. Merritt and Mary B. Merritt (Amidon); his former wife Lois Merritt; his wife Joy Jones of Spring Valley; his children, Walter Merritt (Becky) of Fayetteville, NC and Stephanie Merritt (Lisa) of Hammond, IN; his stepdaughters, Rhonda Adamson (Steve) of Dalzell, Angela Mellott (Tom) of Springdale, AR, Donna Sanders (Terry) of Arlington, TN and Deborah Swaar (Matt) of Florida; and his brother Edgar Merritt (Rachel) of Zephyhills, FL.. He was also cherished by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In accordance with the Illinois guidelines, face masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
