He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Dierks and Lois Dierks (Sander); the mother of his children Maryterese Fortier; his granddaughter Lacie Mongan; and his siblings, Jon, Joseph Milota and Sandra Foster.
He is survived by: his children, Lauren Mongan (Daniel Simpson) of Spring Valley, Timothy Dierks of Waseea, MN and Ashley Wren of Oak Forest; and his siblings, Ruth Eubanks (Roy) of Fairfield, IA, Robert Milota (Marlene) of Eldridge, IA and Al Dierks (Pam) of Clinton, IA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
