He is survived by: his parents, James A. Sever and Jean Sever (Henry); his adoptive father William C. Heinz; his wife Marlene A. Johnson of Spring Valley; his stepfather Matthew W. Crew of LaSalle; his children, Nicole Harris (Josh) of Chillicothe, Melissa Saeger (Paul) of Mooresville, NC, KayCee Heinz of Bloomington, Brandon Heinz of Oglesby, Amanda Kerlin (David) of Homewood and Andrea Heinz of Springfield; his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Gabriel, Chevelle, Naevia, Logan, Eleanor and Hudson; and his brothers, Joe Heinz (Carmen) of Oglesby and Willy Heinz of LaSalle.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Baptist Church, LaSalle or to the LaSalle-Peru Christian School.
