He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon D. Spence and Mabel E. Spence (Steward); his brothers, Vernon and James Spence; and his great grandchild Daxton Alexander Cioni.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Spence of Spring Valley; his daughters, Susan Cullipher (David) of Granville, Karen Cioni (Richard) of Granville and Kimberly Zimmerman (Nicholas) of Dubuque, IA; and his sisters, Mary Ruth Manuel of Chandler, AZ and Joyce Hime (Joe) of LaGrange, IL. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
