Janice left this world on January 5, 2025 at the age of 71, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Thomas and Francis Thomas (Oser); and her brother Harold Thomas. She is survived by: her husband Bill; her sons, John Hammer (Tina), Matthew Hammer and Steven Hammer; her grandsons, Jacob and Benjamin; and her sister-in-law Donna Thomas. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (2000 Luther Dr, Peru, IL 61354). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
