It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frank Castaneda of Spring Valley, Illinois, who passed away on February 24, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander R. Castaneda and Elvira Castaneda (Galindo); and his brothers, Alex, Arthur and Francisco.

He is survived by: his wife Pat of Spring Valley; his children, Nikki Gingerich (Jay) of Peru, Craig Castaneda (Kate Reynolds) of Spring Valley, Tricia Burkart (Dan) of Peru and Kelly Perez (Eric) of Joliet; his grandchildren, Alex Castaneda, Chase, Leah, Lucy Burkart and Charlotte Perez; and his sisters, Licha Vickers of Peru, Dolores Wisgowski of Peru and Mary Roberts of Peru. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
