It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alva Wood (Spring Valley, Illinois), born in Hennepin, Illinois, who passed away on January 13, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Matt Hanson and Lottie Hanson (Ike); her spouse Edward Wood; her sons, James Wood (Dianne) of Groveland and Ray Wood (Karen) of LaMoille; her daughter-in-law Mary Jere Wood of Seatonville; her sisters-in-law, Rosemary Crowther of Bureau and Anna Mae Bryan of Peru; and her son George. She was also cherished by 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
