He is survived by: his parents, Walter Kern and Jean Kern (Kane); his son Alex; his siblings, Jodi Nagler (Ken), Toni Love, Cetty Vanderlip (Jeff) and Vicki Kern; his stepson John Sanko; and his former wife Becky Kern. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
