He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph McKee and Pauline McKee (Zikuda); his wife Karen Irslinger-Leopold; his stepson Bert Irslinger (Katie); his grandsons, Payton and Christian Irslinger; his siblings, Sharon Kristoffersen (Mike), Michael McKee (Jean), Donna Boyd (late Richard), Sue Fosburgh (Greg), Kevin McKee (Maureen) and Nancy Whittall; and his sisters-in-law, Angela Strom (Steven) and Bonnie Pastore (John).

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Thompson Spring Grove Funeral Home (8103 Wilmot Rd, Spring Grove, IL 60081). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
