It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Raymond Edward Stevens (Spring Grove, Illinois), born in Woodstock, Illinois, who passed away on April 16, 2020, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Robert Stevens and Marjorie Stevens (Townsend); his parents-in-law, Robert and Mary Amore; his siblings, Judy and Larry; his brothers-in-law, Tom and Terry Amore; his nieces, Melissa Petska and Cheri Amore; his nephew Tony Williams; and his great-nephew Braden Petska.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Amore (Peg); his children, Raymond R. Stevens (Traci) of McHenry and Sarah Erikson (Mike) of Genoa City; his grandchildren, Rachel, Amy Stevens, Cody Stevens and Chloe Erikson; his siblings, Bill (LaVerne), Bob Stevens (Joy), Lois Petska (Harvey), Anna Penza (Jim Ross) and Pam Kopacz (Dave Palcek); and his siblings-in-law, Marlene Stevens, Sr., Jean Amore, Marge Amore, Sandy Amore, Barb Williams (Ron), Patty Vavrik (Bill), Fran Michelini (Gil), Wayne (Christine) and Buster Amore (Cindy). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and forever friends.
Due to Covid-19, funeral services will be privately held for the family and the service will be live-streamed on the Church of Holy Apostles website at 1pm on Monday, April 27, 2020. The burial will also be private at the Saint Peter's Cemetery in Spring Grove, IL.
