He was predeceased by: his brother Luigi Abbate. He is survived by: his mother Paula Abbate (Buccelli); his wife Erika Rehberger; his children, Nicole Yandura (Brad), Danielle Szilva (Steven) and Anthony Abbate (Marina); his grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas, Ariana Yandura and Mila; and his siblings, Paula Aide (Terry), Josephine Meinke (Kevin) and John Abbate (Dawn). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
