He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jelen and Julia Jelen (Hanzel); his siblings, Julita Jelen, Ann Jelen and Adolph Jelen; and his children, Steven Jelen and Julie Aadland.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his son Joseph Jelen; his grandchildren, Jasmine, Jillian Bieze, Jeffrey Jelen (Lauren) and Jacquelin Jelen; his great grandchild Jessie Julie Jelen; and his son-in-law Richard Aadland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
