He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph O'Day and Ida O'Day (Strand); his wife Jeanette; his sisters, Patricia Bell and Lorraine Sullivan; his son-in-law Mike Ruemelin; and his friends, Patsy Ruemelin and Jimmy Ruemelin.

He is survived by: his child Lynn Ruemelin of Kevin O'Day; his grandchildren, Michael Ruemelin Gina Frano (Joseph) and Jennifer O'Day; his great grandchildren, Michael Ruemelin, Joseph Frano, Benjamin Frano and Cooper O'Day; his brother Richard O'Day; his sister-in-law Iris Jefferies; and his friends, Johnny Mumber, Jeanette Betts and Pete McGee (Karen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
