It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David R. Hanson of Spaulding, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on October 28, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Hanson and Mary Lou Hanson (Cardoni). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Watson of Spaulding; his son Jason R. Hanson (Laura) of Sherman; his grandchildren, Madisyn Hanson, Carter Hanson, Connor Griffeth and Heidi Griffeth; and his brothers, Charlie White and Bill Hopkins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office Canine Unit, 1 Sheriff's Plaza, Springfield, IL 62701, Attn: Canine Unit Donations.
