With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruby Jewel Asselmeier of Sparta, Illinois, born in Columbia, Illinois, who passed away on October 10, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Ritter and Cora Krennel Ritter; her husband Earl H. Asselmeier; and her siblings, Harold, Wayne, Clements, Bernell, Bernice and Marlin.

She is survived by: her children, Leisa Asselmeier of Sparta, Eric Asselmeier (Shelby) of Sparta and Craig Asselmeier (Kim) of Perryville, MO; her grandchildren, Erica, Heidi, Gretchen, Max, Victor, Isabella, Luke, Bridgette, Sophia and Nicholus; and her brother Dale Ritter of Columbia, IL..

Memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church Food Pantry or a Food Pantry of their choice.
