With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Dean Thimmig of Sparta, Illinois, who passed away on July 31, 2022 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Carter and Doris V. Thimmig (Keene); and his sister Ginny Clancy. He is survived by: his wife Dianna Thimmig of Sparta, IL; his daughters, Laura Thimmig (Dan Heider) of Cincinnati, OH, Marci Thimmig (Dave Baker) of Cincinnati, OH and Samantha Voigt (John) of Milford, OH; and his siblings, Tom Thimmig of Nashville, IL, Bill Thimmig (Denise) of Pinckneyville, IL, Mary Kay Schobert (Brian) of Columbus, OH and Elizabeth Phelps (Dennis) of Waterloo, IL. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
