He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett and Nettie; and his wife Darlene Shuler. He is survived by: his children, Richard Prest (Debra), Sandy Jo Hasemeyer (Dennis) and Susan Mortland (Ron); his grandchildren, Michelle Prest, Renee Prest, Kevin Prest (Erica), Bailey Jo Lee (Casey), Connor Mortland, Cameron Mortland and Abbey Jo Mortland; his great grandchild Aspen Jo Lee; his stepgrandson Chad Hasemeyer; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Elijah Hasemeyer and Kaylah Hasemeyer; and his close friend Shirley Martin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tilden Presbyterian Church.
