It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Cross of Sparta, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on March 13, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett and Joella; her son Glenn Cross, Jr.; and her siblings, Arlie Shaneyfeit, Larman Shaneyfeit and Violet Reeves.
She is survived by: her husband Glenn T. Cross, Sr.; her daughters, Diana Holifield (Jack) of Siloam Springs, AR and Lisa Olson (Alvin) of Cincinnati, OH; her grandchildren, John, Glenn III, Austin, Jeff, Brad, Laura, Andy and Matthew; her great grandchildren, Jake, Mason, Alex, Tucker, Layton, Nathan, Greta, Hazel, Willow, Nellie, Dillon, Logan and Jackson; her stepgrandchildren, Katey (Josh) and Eric (Haily); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Adriana, Brantley, Cheyanne, Dallas and Raymond; and her sisters, Devada Downey (Tom) and Claudia Owings (WM).
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home (111 W Main St, Sparta, IL 62286). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
