It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Raphael Deere of Sparta, Illinois, born in Goreville, Illinois, who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raphael Deere and Sadie Deere (Jenkins); and his siblings, Udell Deere, Alvin Deere, Lavonna Vinson and Mary Eggemeyer.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Deere (Finley) of Sparta, IL; his stepchildren, Herbert "Ed" Heinen (Michelle) of Waterloo, IL, Christine Heinen of Sparta, IL and Ralph Heinen of Sparta, IL; his stepgrandchildren, Rebecca, Remy and Edward Heinen; and his siblings, Frank Deere (Juanita) of Mattoon, IL and Kathy Lindsey (Carl) of Carbondale, IL. He is also survived by Other relatives and friends.
