He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Carter (Tolliver); his parents, Stephen Collins and Bertie Alice Collins (Brittion); his daughters, Tracy Bailey and Kimberly McKnight; and his siblings, Robert Lee Brittion, Norman Lee Gleghorn, Marvin Collins and Jeanette Lee.
He is survived by: his son Lawrence Carter; and his sisters, Joyce Thomas, Marcella Brooks (Richard) and Diane Lawhorn (Scean). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
