It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice M. Hamilton of Sparta, Illinois, who passed away on February 24, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janice M. Hamilton to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland H. Mathews and Margret E. Mathews (Lutz); her husband William E. Hamilton; and her brother-in-law Roger R. Hamilton. She is survived by: her children, Jan Davis of Coulterville, IL and John Hamilton (Jennifer) of Sparta, IL; her grandchildren, Zachary Davis (Kaylyn) of Marion, IL, Ronnie G Davis, Sr. (Amber) of DuQuoin, IL, Isabelle L. Fair (AJ) of Sparta, IL, Eli M. Hamilton of Sparta, IL, Jack A. Hamilton of Sparta, IL and Sophie A. Hamilton of Sparta, IL; her great grandchildren, Asher Davis, Ronnie G. Davis, Jr. and Charlotte Davis; her brother William Mathews (Judy) of Plano, TX; her sister-in-law Marilyn Hamilton of Sparta, IL; her niece JoEllen; and her nephews, Jim, Jay, Dave and Dan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Bethel Reformed Presbyterian Church (1100 N Market St, Sparta, IL 62286). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
