Janet S. Hewerdine Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet S. Hewerdine of Sparta, Illinois, born in Thebes, Illinois, who passed away on April 28, 2021 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Jackson and Susie Markel Jackson. She is survived by: her husband Gary H. Hewerdine of Sparta, IL; her children, Teena Turner (Ken) of Ellis Grove, IL and Brion Skaggs (Sherry) of Steeleville, IL; her stepchildren, Helo Hewerdine (Angie) of Johnston City, IL, Gary Wade Hewerdine (Anita) of Mt. Vernon, IL and Lori Hewerdine of Sparta, IL; her grandchildren, Lucas Turner, Mary Smiecinski (Joe), Josh Randolph (Jennifer), Madison Compton, Katie Lafoon (Gale), Candace Roberts (Mike) and Tommy Morrison (Samantha); her siblings, Linda Lee of Metropolis, IL, Shelby Spencer of North Carolina, Caroline Macintyre of Cairo, IL and Dearl Jackson of Springfield, IL; and her nieces, Pam Taylor and Wendy Siegelman. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.

Due to executive order, face masks must be worn, and social guidelines must be followed.
