Doris Mae Cavalier Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris Mae Cavalier of Sparta, Illinois, born in Coulterville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 5, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe McSmith and Edna McSmith (Thompson); her brothers, Jim, Dean and Raymond "Dick" McSmith; and her children, Jackie, Frank and Greg.
She is survived by: her sister Pat Cavalier (Frank); her children, Richard (Theresa) of Swansea, Thomas (Mary) of Glen Carbon, Michael (Emilie) of Sparta, Jeffrey of Sparta and Gena Hyatt (Todd) of Spring Hill, KS.; and her sisters-in-law, Judy McSmith of Steeleville and Yoko. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests at the behest of Doris that memorials be made to the St. Ann Altar Society in Sparta, and/or to the Sparta Senior Center.
