He was predeceased by: his brother Douglas Thompson; and his parents, Joe Thompson and Goldie Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Cain of Sparta, IL; his sister Cathy Bateman (Keith) of Sikeston, MO; his children, Kristy Bentley (Chris) of Conway, AR, Mark G. Robert (Tracey Bean) of Wildwood, MO, Julie Wilsey (Don) of Florida and Matthew Robert (Molly) of Urbana, IL; and his grandchildren, Drake Robert (Clarissa) of Bloomington, IL, Drew Robert of Bloomington, IL and Danielle Rose Robert of Bloomington, IL. He is also survived by one great grandchild on the way; numerous nieces and nephews.
