He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Gibson and Regina Gibson; his brothers, James and David Gibson; and his brother-in-law Jimmie Perkins.
He is survived by: his children, Gail Gibson-Miller (Mark) of Antioch, IL and Bert E. Gibson, Jr. of Harvard, IL; his grandsons, Dylan and Logan Jelinek of Antioch, IL; his great grandchild Aliya Jelinek of Antioch, IL; his sister Alice Perkins of Sparta, IL; and his sister-in-law Cleda Gibson of Sparta, IL. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Face masks and social distancing will be required in accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gail Miller for a college fund set up for Bert's great granddaughter.
