He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Stowers and Sybil Louise Stowers; his brothers, Wayne Stowers and David Stowers; his stepson Brian McDonald; and his sons-in-law, Tom Boice and Mac McKinley.
He is survived by: his wife Renate Stower (Sturber) of Sparta, IL; his daughters, Jane Boice of Steeleville, IL and Karen Hepp (Joel) of Steeleville, IL; his grandchildren, Michael Downen (Christina) of Jackson, MO, James Boice (Christa) of Pevely, MO, Dustin Boice of Steeleville, IL, Nicholas Hudson (Lindsey) of Carbondale, IL, Jaylynn Hepp of Steeleville, IL and Peyton Hepp of Steeleville, IL; and his great grandchildren, Cristlyn Boice, Addy Boice, Caidyn Downen, Jaclyn Boice, Maxwell Hudson and Norah Hudson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Randolph County Humane Society or the American Legion Riders Club.
