She was predeceased by: her parents, Estelle Gauwitz (Buckman) and Don Gauwitz; and her siblings, Donnie Gauwitz and Darlene Sargent. She is survived by: her husband Harold "Bud" DeWalt; and her sisters, Dolly Jacobs (Mike), Julia Newell (Leonard), Linda Greenhalgh (Mel) and Donna Halverson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
