He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Murphy and Rena Murphy (Newell); his spouse Jeanine Harney; and his siblings, Mary Jane Braun and Jim Murphy.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Murphy of Niota, Tim Murphy (Diane) of Chillicothe and Tammy Stumbaugh (Mike) of Sparland; his grandchildren, Amy Robinson (Ernest), Adam Murphy (Rachel), Tracy Smith, Katelyn Schoch (Justin), Chelsy Braun (Seth) and Jodi Stumbaugh; his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Brody, Ally, Carly, Leah, Noah, Owen, Ella and Colie; and his children, Lee Braun (Sara), Sue Hoffman (Don), Dean Braun (Candy) and Fran Widmar.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Boy Scouts Troop 91.
