She was predeceased by: her mother Linda Ann Bland (Spellman). She is survived by: her father Robert B. Bland, Jr. of Wilmington; her husband James Brassard; her daughters, Maria and Alayna; her siblings, Robert III Bland (Beth) of Belvidere, Illinois and Megan Nugent (Bob) of Wilmington; her close friend Breanna Crippen (Alex); her grandparents, David and Connie Spellman of Alabama; her parents-in-law, Tim and Irene Brassard of Essex; her brothers-in-law, Timothy Brassard (Ellen) of Louisiana and Jonathan Brassard (Reign) of Texas; her nieces and nephews, Rob, Kevin, Chloe, Raelene, Avrie, Michael, Carter, Shawn and Ryan; and her cousins, Don Sickler (Jane), Nate Matthews, Drew Sickler, Billy Bland, Jared Bland, K. J. Bland, Joy Bland and Katie Bland.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Baskerville Funeral Home (700 E Kahler Rd, Wilmington, IL 60481). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Rose Catholic Church (604 S Kankakee St, Wilmington, IL 60481).
Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Samantha's memory to her husband James and daughters Maria and Alayna.
