He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Wakeman and Mary Wakeman; his great grandchildren, Reese and Raygan; his son-in-law Ed Basham; and his siblings, Raymond Wakeman (Josephine), Louis Wakeman (Joan), Ella Mae Bridges (Troy) and Mildred Elliott (Walter).
He is survived by: his wife Irene Marie Wakeman of South Wilmington; his children, Terry Wakeman (Diane) of Coal City and Debra Basham (Steve Yero) of South Wilmington; his grandchildren, Lisa Brackett (Raymond) of Coal City, Kellie Basham (Ryan Dodge) of Morris, IL, Kyle Basham (Katie) of South Wilmington and Michelle Emmons of Phoenix, AZ; his great grandchildren, Rhylan, Tyler, Brynna, Calen, Tucker, Jenna and Lauren; and his pet Lucky. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be directed to the South Wilmington Volunteer Fire Department.
