It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Cacello of South Wilmington, Illinois, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on February 3, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Peter Alex; and his sister Jean Smolik. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Cacello of South Wilmington; his children, Angela Tjelle of South Wilmington, Michael Cacello (Stefanie) of South Wilmington and Matthew Cacello (Elizabeth) of South Wilmington; his grandchildren, Ryan, Maya, Lyla Cacello, Ty, Taylor Tjelle, Jackson and Juliana Cacello; and his brother-in-law Jack Smolik of South Wilmington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St. Lawrence Catholic Church or the South Wilmington Volunteer Fire Department would be appreciated.
