It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elmer Leroy Wren of South Wilmington, Illinois, born in Peever, South Dakota, who passed away on November 8, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wren and Laura Wren; his wife Janice Wren; his grandson Brad Emanuelson; his great grandchild Leaya Bushue; and his siblings, Irene, Marian, Dale, Merle and Lloyd.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Wren (Debbie) of South Wilmington, Wanda Emanuelson of Essex, IL and Brenda Schock of Coal City, IL; his grandchildren, Tiffany Emanuelson, Brett Emanuelson (Katie), Bobby Wren (Amanda), Johnny Wren (Meredith), Joey Wren (Hannah), Kyle Schock and Melissa Siatta (Tony); his close friend Rascal; and his sisters, Avis Crooks of Minnesota and Ellen Pond of Minnesota. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in his name may be directed to South Wilmington Fire Department.
